July 25th, 1993

July 25, 1993, at Cell 63 in collaboration with Unfucked, featured performances by Beekeeper, Multitude of the Slothful, Driftwood, and Dogstar (or Canopy). This show is significant not only for its lineup but also for the evolution of the venue's flyer design. It marks one of the earlier instances where acetate was used as a medium to create a unique look, adding a new layer of creativity to the DIY flyer aesthetic, different from the typical collage.

A standout feature of this flyer is the inclusion of little drawings by Chris Hoover, a close friend of Nathan's and a frequent resident of the house above the basement. Hoover's illustrations added a personal touch to the flyer, enhancing the overall DIY nature of the event's promotion. His involvement reflects the close-knit, collaborative spirit that characterized the venue's operation, where the community played an integral role in shaping every aspect of the shows.

Active from the mid-1990s to the early 2000s, Dogstar experienced moderate success in the music scene, while Reeves’ celebrity status often brought additional media attention to the band. The band started playing together again in 2020 and released their newest album in 2023.
